Online item availability and Chat Reps

Hi. I have been looking at some items on the Tiffany website and have a few in my cart.

I did an online chat earlier asking some questions about an item that is on backorder and other items. There were 3 items that show as available (and are in my cart) that I was told not available in US. Meaning if I order I would have to wait between February-April to receive. Now why would they be listed as available and others as backordered? Just not sure if the chat reps have as much information as say an SA in the store.

Thoughts?
