and that is this forum! Thanks to all of you.
I purchased a non-Coach bag today and posted on the Handbags and Purses forum. So far, 36 people have looked, but only 1 has posted. Yes, it's not a $600 RM bag, or a $1200 LV either. But it's a gorgeous bag and met what I was looking for, at a good price at Nordstroms.
I admit I'm not sure I will be able to resolve myself to a non-Coach bag, but I'm going to give it a try and step outside the 'box'.
But, just wanted to say that I absolutely LOVE this forum and the great people here.
Thanks for listening.

DH just pulled me aside to show me the Sorial this weekend! I LOVE it!! They had a color that was very similar to Coach's atlantic color. I almost bought it actually, but we thought it was a tiny tad wide for me, but I may later try it without the packing. I was kind of in a hurry. It's a very nice bag, especially for the money!

Don't feel bad! I purchase non Coach bags a lot, some higher, but many lower priced. In fact I just came home with a $648 leather L.A.M.B Sutton, on sale for $200!! I also bought a B. Makowsky bag for a tad less too $170.

Don't buy a bag for "status"...buy it for your own "bang for the buck"...what YOU like that is affordable and of good value. I buy what I like. That's usually Coach at the moment, but I'm always open to other brands. As for really expensive bags...most of the higher priced status bags are not worth the money IMHO. You're paying for the name, and if that's what's important, then by all means. I just want good value for my money!!

I do know what you mean about other forums, though... I've seen that as well..just ignore it!!

Thanks, baglady. I wish I could find out more about the Sorial. I have been searching online and found it on a couple boutique sites, but so far, no real info. Funny, too, because Bloomingdales in NY has an event presenting Sorial handbags on November 18, but yet, they don't offer them on their website?
The inside tag says Sorial New York, and there are no tags anywhere saying where it was made, but Nordie's website says Imported.
I hope to eventually find out more detail.
Have a nice evening..
