One or two bags?

Hello friends 👋 I'm going on a month-long trip and I pack pretty light so was hoping to get your opinion if I should bring 2 (1 day and 1 night) or just 1 bag that can work from day to night. Here are some of the bags that I have in my collection. I dress up pretty casually and was going to pair the bag with either sneakers or ballet flats. Appreciate any input 😊🙏

A Chanel WOC is extremely versatile, especially if you add a base shaper to extend the width of the bottom. For evening, the shoulder strap tucks in and the WOC becomes an elegant clutch. I've traveled with a WOC many times and appreciate that it can be worn under a coat or jacket because it's got a slender profile. Although you haven't put a Chanel Rectangular Mini on your list, that's also a great option with a bit more room.

Traveling with only one bag is a recipe for heartbreak (and perhaps unintended bag purchases to make up for it). IMO for a month trip it's essential to have choices.

Biggest one with you. Any others (nested if more than one) in carryon.

Thanks so much! My WOC has a base shaper - such a great purchase ❤️ I have a Chanel rectangular mini but the leather and color don't make it such a versatile option ☹️ I wish I had one in a neutral color

One last thought. The beauty of taking just one bag is that you're never going to worry about the "other" bag you've left in your hotel room.

I agree with this. There is no way I can be gone for a month and not take more than one bag. I love handbags and want to enjoy them on my trips / vacations.

I’m not sure what your YSLs look like so I will just say take the Chanel WOC (perfect for evening as a clutch or running around on the chain during the day) your largest bag (so you can hold a number of items when you need to) and whichever bag makes you swoon (it will keep you happy and avoid unnecessary purchases coming from misplaced longing.)

Likely, you can nest all of these bags inside each other and not have a problem with packing space.

Im a carry on only gal so it's one bag for sure for me!
