So I bought my first pair of high heels from an on-line store. I'm in-between sizes and I was told to size up. Fair enough. Well the shoes fit OK in my left foot and is slightly loose on my right foot (which ironically is the more dominant side).

Anyway, these are my shoes: since there's an ankle strap, it doesn't seem so problematic....but I'm just annoyed that my first pair (which I've been wanting from a LONG time) turned out to be less than perfect. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can correct it?

I'm also thinking that the discomfort I feel may be due to never wearing heels that high (3.5"...which by the standards of some high-heel lovers in this forum, it's laughably low).

Additionally; does anyone else have this issue of having one foot smaller/bigger than the other?

My left foot is 1/2 size smaller than my right, plus I have narrow heels. So it is hard for me to find plain pumps (no straps) that stay on. I usually have to put an insole in the L shoe, and sometimes heel grips in each shoe. A real pain, and the higher the heel the worse my foot slips out of them, so I have to stay lower-heeled, even with all the stuffings I put in LOL.

Oddly, my non-dominant foot is also slightly larger than my other foot, although not usually enough to cause significant discomfort in most shoes. I think asymmetry is pretty common, although clearly is is more prominent in some people than in others. I also have difficulty keeping standard pumps with no straps on my feet, but that isn't due to foot asymmetry; it is sadly due to pure lack of coordination. Strappy shoes are my friends!

I got my beloved Lanvins today and the left one fits absolutely perfectly but the right is just a tiny bit too big. What do I do? They are so comfy, I don't want to change them but I'm worried the right one is going to slip off. Help, I'm panicking :(

I have the same problem, my right foot is half a size smaller than my left by half a size. Get used to buying lots of inserts. I find the gel ones help, they are thicker. They do say you should buy the size to accommodate the bigger foot so you technically bought the right size for you. I admit I don't always listen. I try to buy leather in hopes it will expand but it hurts :(

Yeah, I'm taking them to the cobbler tomorrow to be resoled, maybe I can talk to him about a heel insert. I've been wearing them around the house and it hasn't fallen off, the more I walk the more normal it feels. I know these have elastic so I guess I'll just have to feel it out and see what works.

Alright, this is going to sound really weird but here goes.. I took these flats to the Cobbler to be resoled. He put a new heel on them, they were originally completely flat but I was worried that the heel was going to be ruined then he put the vibram sole all the way from the toe to where the new heel started. I got them back and they both fit perfectly. They were both a little too big to start with, the right just being a little more loose than the left but now they are exactly perfect for both feet. I have no idea how that happened but I'll definitely take it!!
