On the go - more poor quality.

Be careful of quality if you’re looking to purchase on the go, I’ve got the GM one in monogram giant reverse and the glue lining of the handles has peeled off both. I’m in middle of no where so can’t take it to a store, I emailed customer service and they “ kindly” said I can pay $340 for repair! No thanks.

It would be more than a year but I’ve hardly used it, always kept in dust bag etc.

That should be a free repair, especially since, according to you, that the bag is otherwise is pristine condition. That isn’t normal. Speak to a repair supervisor at CS. Best of luck! Melting glazing/varnishing is NEVER normal, unless you stuck your bag in a hot attic or something, lol.

I believe from poor quality, I don‘t even use the top handle carry it - I use the shoulder straps, only use the handles to pick it up off chair etc. I just wish they would up the quality along with their constant price rises.

As long as it is under 2 years LV should repair it for free, but even if it is older then that this is not normal! It's just poor quality!

This is just unacceptable. I don't see any scenario where this is normal wear and tear. I agree with the other posters, call CS and see if you can get a different answer.

Thank you - yes do keep an eye on yours. I think mine is about 3 years old, I can’t find my receipt to check. Apart from the handles she still looks like new.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm going through the same thing with my On the Go GM.

Bag purchased December 2020 & rarely used, so I'm surprised that the strap is already peeling.

Ok…it’s been 3 years. Bring it to the store and they will repair it for you. If the bag has been rarely used as you claim, it will be a free repair….
