Hi Ladies,

I’m looking for opinions. I’m looking for a travel bag and the OTG is a top contender (Chanel Deauville is my other option) but I’m wondering which material is best to get it in. I usually wear Chanel, and the only LV bags I have are leather or DE print as the monogram is just too loud and saturated for my comfort. So I think I’d feel very self conscious wearing a canvas giant monogram OTG when traveling. Which is why I was thinking to get the leather version since the monogram on it isn’t as noticeable. However, I wonder if the leather or the canvas would retain its shape better and deal with being under airplane seats, etc. Does anyone have any insights? The never full is not an option for me as I just don’t like it but I’m open to a Goyard St. Louis as well although I think I’d prefer a structured bag. Which is best for travel?

The canvas items always hold their structure better, however if you don’t like it simply don’t get it.
I would personally get a speedy B 30 or 35 where you can fit the same without worrying for fallout, but if you don’t care much about that the black empreinte on the go is perfect :)

I have the OTG in both canvas and empreinte leather but I’ve only travelled with the canvas. In my opinion both are about equally as structured although the leather is much lighter. I ended up scratching the khaki side of the canvas bag during the trip home and didn’t notice until I was home and couldn’t get the scratch out. For that reason I wouldn’t take it or the empreinte on a plane again. I like my empreinte way too much to risk messing it up. The bags are huge and fit a lot of stuff but you have to turn them on their side to get them through the X-ray machine, they don’t fit well under seats on the plane and there’s no zipper so I didn’t want to put it in the overhead compartment. I would go with a keepall if you want to stick to LV or Goyard St Luis or Isabel if you can get your hands on it. I don’t think they ever released it in the US.

I had the OTG in canvas and quickly sold it. I don't think it's a great travel bag. I do use my keepalls and neverfulls in canvas because they are durable, malleable, easy to clean, and light weight. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a leather LV that would do the same job. From what you said, I'd suggest going with the Goyard. Good luck with your choice!

I'm with you about the OTG. Too loud for me as well. I think canvas is the best bet when traveling, so I use my Neverfull GM only for travel. It's lightweight and can wipe down easily. Goyard is a great alternative to NF. I love a tote bag when traveling, and keep a small cross body (for me: Chanel WOC, small Classic flap, or Gucci SuperMini) inside. :)

Is there an epi version of the OTG that I have missed? :amazed:
I thought it was only produced in canvas and empreinte
The only downside to Epi is if you’re planning to use it as a travel bag, they can scratch so you would have to be careful.

And in my opinion the Goyard does not hold up well over time. My two year old St. Louis tote looks horrible, where as my 7 year old NF has a gorgeous light honey patina and looks relatively new

I own the canvas version and it did not fit underneath the seat in front of me comfortably. Compared to the neverfull the straps were way comfier but I would bring my neverfull with me again on flights and not the onthego due to it being quite bulky.

Which mobile games for apple devices www.expeditionikivuq.com/ is best for travel?
I'd recommend canvas
