hi all. I am new to this forum and having a question regarding my hearts on fire wedding brand. My brand is 18k glod contain .27 ct diamond ring. Since the diamonds are sooooooooo tiny, I am having a question. Are those tiny ones still "perfectly cut"? If so, are these "cuts" more harder compared to those "large in size" diamonds? I mean if you can't tell the different of the cut in tiny diamounds, why bother to spend more on "hearts on fire"? Any expert can advice on this? Thanks.

I don't own a HoF branded ring. Risingsun does though, I think, maybe she can help.

I personally wouldn't spend the extra $ on HoF unless it ws a sizeable stone so I could really see the difference.

I have a HOF Fulfillment pendant and matching earrings. The .01 ct [each]melee surrounding the center stones all have that "perfect" heart and arrow cut. I looked at them through the H&A viewer. I also have a HOF wedding band and semimount for my engagement ring. These stones are each 20 pointers [not including the center stone] and all have the same cut proportions. If you are referring to pave', you will need to ask your SA. HOF does say that all of their diamonds are cut to the same specifications, so that should be the case.

My DH and I have looked at Hearts of Fire diamonds a few times. They're nice, but honestly to my poor, old eyes, I can't see the difference between on of them and a nice other diamond. But when I look under their special microscopes (or whatever they are called) I can see the specialness of them.

I recently had an SA tell me that a Hearts of Fire diamond reads about two shades lower on the color scale than other diamonds. For example, a Hearts of Fire rated "H" color would actually be comparable in color to a diamond rated "F" in color. She said this was due to the precision cut. But IDK, really. I even took the Hearts of Fire outside in the sunlight for a better look, but wasn't sold on it.

it is true that the better the cut, the better the color appears.
I don't prefer HoF over another ideal/excellent cut stone because I don't desire that perfection or absolute symmetry in my facets. But that superb cut is really valuable.
I have am excellent cut round and I can see the arrows in most of it, it must've been barely off not to qualify and that's good enough for me!

love4eq, this is a great question. If you can't tell the difference in the smaller HOF stones why spend the money? Well if you can't, then you might not want to. The HOF stones I've seen have had great white light return and were really bright.

My HOF I colored graded stone returns more light than my Lazare Kaplan F graded stone. ( I love my Kaplan more, but, truth be told, my HOF is prettier!!)
