Yes of course so a YouTuber was doing her “final unboxing” she’s actually bought a fair bit from LV and also the Murakami collection… she goes to live unbox the first item and the box has been opened - not via the seal tab way but the flap has been opened and no contents other than the dust bag and ribbons and stickers in the LV box.
She did a video on this; so she mentioned she's a VIC and does a mix of purchasing through her digital CA using purchase links at the time of the drop and pre-paying (I think?), as well as stalking the website and app for pieces she wants.
Also interesting to note the receipt was missing, probably so it can be sold as a legitimate item.
I thought about this one but tbh this woman has purchased so many expensive items, it really is completely unnecessary for her to pretend the small cosmetic pouch got poached. She's been getting enough views that she doesn't need to resort to cheap theatrics with a pouch.
To be clear, I'm saying I don't think she is faking it.
The bread and butter of influencers is, in fact, theatrics. Clickbait and all.
Clickbait for thumbnails, sure, but not in the videos, actually; that's how most content is made. If you watch her, you know she's not one of those luxury influencers that have pretended their collections of obviously fake handbags have gotten stolen. She had a pretty small following until her Murakami stuff so she isn't a true influencer, just an LV VIC who does youtube videos.
Because she purchases lots and lots from LV it would be completely unnecessary for her to claim that a cosmetic pouch was stolen I just wouldn’t see the point in it, it’s not like it was a mega high ticket item either.
