Ombre Hair ala Drew and Lacey

What does everyone think about this look? To me it looks like you haven't had time or money to get your hair done in months. I don't like it. Although the effect is more subtle on Lacey and is decent. On Drew I think it's way too contrasted and almost looks sloppy to me.

Lily Aldridge - hands down- does this style the best ...

Hate it with a vengeance. Most people who try to do this look gross and nasty like they can't afford to do their roots. FashionToast blogger Rumi does this look too, ugh.

The first pic is acceptable. You would have to have a consistent upkeep. Not like that poor thing on Drew's head.

I personally don't like it on drew---but I love it on Lily Aldridge. I think ombre hair looks a bit better on brunettes.

Lauren Conrad and Hilary Duff have also sported this. I only like it if it's very subtle.

I actually had this for the past 6 months, unless you curl you hair in some way every day it looks bad. I got over it and went back to my natural hair color with a few highlights.

she has some of the lighter color up top so its not as blunt looking as drew.

I don't care for it either. The first time I saw someone with it, I thought that she was trying to grow her natural color out. I think it's silly that someone would actually go for that look on purpose.
