I was surprised to not find a thread on these bags!

I was traveling over the weekend, and realized about halfway to my destination that I'd forgotten to pack my Bottega Veneta clutch that I carry for evenings... Once I arrived, I went searching in local boutiques for a clutch to be able to carry that evening, and stumbled upon a large collection of Olympia Le-Tan book clutches! I was aware of them and intrigued by their beauty (they have quite a celebrity following - Reese Witherspoon, Natalie Portman, etc.), but necessity *wink* caused me to pull the trigger...

I ended up getting the 'Regatta at Argenteuil' by Claude Monet clutch - made by hand in Italy :

I love the box it comes in, powder pink with a chic black bow - it reminds me of Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette (one of my all time favorite films):

I think when I'm not using it, I might display it as artwork in my bedroom... :flowers:

Do any of you guys own one of these clutches? Does the company make one of your favorite novel?

I thought I'd share some pics of celebrities with theirs... Hopefully to get a conversation going!

Yours looks lovely @Deneuveness ! I am debating whether to keep one; how have you found your clutch? (overall thoughts, usability/practicality, satisfaction factor etc)
So sorry I am just now seeing this! Thank you so much for the compliment.

Overall, it definitely isn't practical - it will hold only the essentials for a night out.

But, it is the most amazing conversation-starter! People always notice it. Plus, if uniqueness is important to you - no one else will have one.

Hi, I’m really lusting after the Jane Eyre version! How have you found them to use and how is the wear and tear?

I’m worried about marking it (even though it’s black) or my use of hand sanitiser with the fabric (I have germaphobic OCD so not using hand sanitiser isn’t an option for me). Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!
