I just noticed my vca vintage necklace has a smooth bottom part. Is this because it’s an older model? I know it’s authentic so I’m not worried. But I was wondering if they changed it through the years. Here is a pic

Can you take a clearer photo? It is a little out of focus so it is hard to tell. I do not have any older single pendants, but I do have some quite old 5 motifs and 10 motifs. On those, the beading goes all around the motifs and is not flattened, except for a flatter area right where the engravings are.

Looking at your photo again, maybe what I thought was blurry is actually smoothing all of the way around the clover? In that case, perhaps it was polished by someone all of the way around the outside and it reduced the beading profile?
