While I'm fairly new to MK, when doing research, I find I really like some of the older styles that are no longer available. I really love the Heidi bag named for Heidi Klum a few years ago. I also like the Astor shoulder hobo bag, the Odette, & the studded Hamilton bag that was apparently a limited edition. I would like to know where, if at all, some of these styles would be available. I do see some on Ebay. Is it just me? I would love to hear imput from you ladies. Any thoughts?

Try consignment stores. Older styles pop up pretty frequently and really cheap too. We have a consignment store called Clothes Mentor and they never let me down. I have a croc studded hamilton that I absolutely love.

I agree. I used to like the brand, but I think they over saturated with the market--and are now similar to Coach. It is obtainable "luxury" so everyone has it.

I do not mind at all that MK has gone somewhat mass luxury so to speak. Their quality is still good and acceptable to me. Old styles, new styles, I love MK especially Hamiltons.

Why is it that when something becomes more obtainable and/or popular it quickly looses the interest of people - it's as if the very same things that drew people to it in the first place start looking 'cheap'. The quality and the stylishness of the bags has not changed, only more people enjoy them.

Agreed. I have quite a few B Markowsky bags. While not considered a high end designer, I love the bags & the leather. These bags are very well made. I also have several Brahmin bags as well. Also well made & structured. I don't carry these bags for the designer...I carry them because I love the leather & the structure of the bags. I have Coach bags as well as Fendi bags.

I've seen a lot of the older MK styles online recently and really like how MK's handbag designs have evolved over time. Some of the older styles are really pretty. I missed the Gia, Astor collection, the studded Selmas, the studded n/s Hamilton totes, and the n/s specchio Hamiltons. Some can still be found by searching online and MK may bring some back with slight variations. I love my current MK collection, but will definitely keep my eyes and ears open for that next "it" bag or collection from MK.

I love my Brahmin bags even though they don't get much love on the forum. Embossed leather can take a beating and still look new-LOL! I never have to be too careful with my Brahmin which is a + and embossed leather gives a bag some oomph too. My very first Brahmin was stolen about 4+ years ago and to make up for it my DH bought me 2 the following week which are still in rotation today and look brand new. I have about a dozen different colors and styles now. He started this purse problem I have about 20 years ago. So I blame him even now when he says im addicted.

Same here. I rotate all my bags depending on where I'm going & what I'm wearing. I have found my Brahmin bags really hold up & continue to look new years later. Like I said....I like my bags to look good but be functional as well. I like several high end designers like Givenchy, Jimmy Choo, Versace, Chanel, Hermes, Valentino, ect but I cannot justify the high price of these purses. I would rather have stylish, reasonably prices handbags.
