Old school vs new style Alexa ?

Hello everyone !
I'm probably going to pull the trigger on the mini Alexa soon ... The problem is I have to choose between the old vs the new version !
My style is comfy with a touch of vintage and I love love love soft leather... I don't know if the comparison is ok but for instance I hugely prefer the old Chloe Marcie over the new one if that can help !
My choice would be soft polished buffalo in black with silver hardware but it's so hard to find
Any advice highly appreciated !

From your preferences for vintage & soft leather I’d say old style is more the bag for you.

Newer one is a thicker, less slouchy leather that keeps its shape. Older one is softer, more slouchy leather, but this also means they can bulge and get creased/wrinkly with age.

D'après vos préférences pour le cuir vintage et souple, je dirais que le style ancien est plus le sac qu'il vous faut.

Le plus récent est un cuir plus épais et moins souple qui conserve sa forme. Le plus ancien est un cuir plus doux et plus souple, mais cela signifie également qu'il peut se gonfler et se froisser avec l'âge.

The pre-loved market for mini alexas is reasonably healthy & prices are good right now, if you want a specific colour you might need to wait a while for one to come up in decent condition.

I’d go with the old, especially based on how how you describe your style and the cost savings.
