Hey everyone,

My mom gave me her very old (almost 30 year old) Raymond Veil watch that has loose diamonds inside the dial and worn out strap. Any idea where I can get it repaired? Raymond Veil website needs a warranty card which I do not have. I don't even have the receipt. Does anyone know a trusted watch repair store that can give me an estimate and do the repair for me?

TIA!

Wow, what a nice gift! Would love to see a pic! I have a vintage Raymond Weil too.

I would suggest taking it to any jeweller in your area who is an authorized Raymond Weil dealer, or who sells vintage watches….it might be someone who restores old Rolexes, and they would have the knowledge and tools to help you.

Thank you so much! Very helpful. I found one jeweler and will call them to ask if they can repair without any paperwork. Here is my watch. As you can see it actually has more than two things which need to be repaired.
thanks again!

I just took my husband RW watch to Long's Jeweler's. Where are you located?? I think any store that sells them could do repairs. His watch is 24 years old, but yours has diamonds, etc .

I live in MI. I found a store called Tapper’s. Will call them. Do u know any other stores? And also how much does it cost approximately? Thank you!!

I'm in Boston.....he only needed at battery and new strap. It was under $100. They said they couldn't pressurize it??? Or something, if they could have, that would have been more money.

Not 100%, but I think pressurizing has to do with keeping the watch water-proof. My DH had this issue too with his Tag.

Beautiful watch, @salal04! I was thinking the same thing - Raymond Weil shouldn’t need the paperwork unless the watch was still under warranty. They should be able to do a complete restoration including polishing the case, new strap, etc. But worth getting quotes from a few jewellers…there can be big differences in prices for these services.

Hi everyone!
Update: my watch has been repaired! They placed back the loose diamonds and put in a new battery. They couldn’t change the cover/dial and the strap. But it’s wearable and still working which is more important to me!
It cost me a total of 90 dollars including shipping costs. I got it repaired through a local jewelry store who sent it to Raymond Veil in New York.
Thank you to everyone for their suggestions!
