Okay, so I just received a cerises cles from let-trade and......

I think Mshel had this problem with the CB PTI she bought from them. Maybe it was someone else though.
Anyway I remember that she sent it back because she couldn't get the smell out.

Since it's a cles though, I think it'll be easier to get the smell out..just try a couple of the tips in that one thread.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this, but it is supposed to cure mothball/musty smells.

Take a few cottonballs and put real vanilla extract on them and put them inside the cles or bag then seal it in a plastic bag or container for a few days. Afterwards, the smell should be gone, or greatly diminished.

I also received a bag from LT today. It does have a very mild odor, although I wouldn't call it mothball. I've read that items coming for Hong Kong may have a distinctive smell because of the humidity. It doesn't bother me enough to complain, I guess I'm used to it (my family receives items from the Philippines, and they too have a distinctive scent).

I stuck a dryer sheet in my bag, then I'll let it air out in the morning. Hopefully that should take care of it.

Congrats! Dryer sheets and febreze helped with one bag of mine that had this problem. It worked!

Just leave it hanging on your purse and air it out. Hopefully the smell will be gone soon.

a dryer sheet worked ok for my speedy, but it might be a little overpowering for the cles. Congrats on the purchase! I was eyeing it on LT, too!

My retro from LT had a bit of a mothball smell but it just went away on its own.
