I have had my Eggplant Gabrielle since 2019. I wore her constantly for about a year and then I added new bags to my rotation. Now I use her primarily in the winter or when I’m traveling because she is a tough cookie. I don’t have any scratches in the leather, worn corners or edges nor pulled/loose stitches. I have some very light scratches on the clasp hardware. She is my ”go to” bag because I don’t need to baby her and she holds what I need on busy or travel days. I’m very happy with the quality and durability of this bag. Good luck!
Excellent! Thank you for your input. I love Eggplant. It’s a beautiful color.:flowers:

I’d love to read Gabrielle wear and tear reviews from owners who use their bags often and do not baby their bags. Please include how long you’ve owned your bags, how often you use it, and what you think about how it’s wearing. Thank you!
I’ve had my Gabrielle mm since the store first opened here and she’s held up beautifully. I rotate my bags so I’ll wear her daily for 1-2 weeks. Being kind of a klutz and having the mm size, you’d think there would be more signs of wear but there’s none that are obvious to me.

I have owned my Gabrielle BB in black box leather since the end of 2019 and have been using her regularly (mainly on the weekends). The bag still remains in excellent condition with no signs of wear at all. The corners, contrast stitching, hardware and overall structure are in the same condition as when I received the bag. However, I am careful with all of my bags.

Thanks so much for sharing! The extra metal protectors are a nice touch, but does that mean they may chip after all? I thought the black was infused in the metal?
Thank you for the review about your Gabrielle.:flowers:

I share your thought about the Ultra Black hardware. Is there a chance it might chip? I was told that the rings are precautionary. Though Moynat says the matte finish won’t peel or chip, could friction cause fine (black) scratches and a contact area smoothing, without the ring protectors? I’m curious if the matte metal is smooth or has a slight grittiness to it.

When I think of perfect black hardware (infused color), I think about my favorite Joseph Duclos bag.

This black hardware costs $$$$$ to create, yet is through and through black hardware.

No plating. The hardware is black.

You’re welcome! The GHW of Diane is a little blingy for me but that black HW Diane is gorgeous. If the all black Gabrielle had been produced during Ramesh’s time, I don’t know, maybe I’d be more confident in the black HW. Having to keep future repair costs in mind in addition to its price tag is a bummer :hrmm:

I didn’t know there is no aftercare if you purchase through the Moynat website until a manager told me. :whut: I’d consider the Ultra Black, but would order only through a store.

OMG if that's the case, that's insane! So you order a Rejane for £4k+ and they won't repair it at a later date??
