Yes, I would imagine they generally fit the same for most people. The sole construction and top straps are the same. The length/width of the sole on my EU 39 Chypre are the same size as EU 39 Genius.

The heel strap is adjustable but obviously you would need to personally assess if it rubs the back of your heel, and/or if the fastening means your foot still fits "neatly" into the shoe. Your foot is more secure in Genius due to the additional strap so there's less foot movement than in Chypre.

I have acquired 2 Genius in less than a week and while that's no time at all, I am obsessed... having a narrow foot, the additional strap makes so much difference. They are obviously more "bulky" than Chypre - they look like Chanel Dad sandals given the additional leather - but I don't care

I would compare the two to Team Arizona or Team Milano for Birkenstocks! And I'm sad I didn't know Genius would come out when I went all in on Chypre, ha...

Got these cute kitten heels at the Ginza store in Tokyo recently. I have not seen them in the U.S.
They are a very soft Chèvre leather and I sized down one whole size.

So I think this is a genius lol. But bought at least 5 or 6 years ago at the store and they called it the Takara I’m pretty sure. Mine are still going strong.

There's slight difference in the hardware of the Genius (image below) in comparison to the Takara. The Takara shown in your pic cuts into the leather itself and reinforced with metal whereas the Genius below has a loop for the hardware.

To me they are super comfy! I suspect people are selling them as they were probably purchased as 'birkin bait'.

Not Birkin bait for me. But I have too many shoes already, and now I have 2 pairs of Genius that fit me much more comfortably, which I can tell from the first walk.

If I had known Genius were going to be released, I would not have purchased any Chypre. Personal preference.

I bought a pair of Hermes Get sneakers in white leather. I normally just wipe my leather shoes with a slightly wet cloth when I see a dirt spot. Will I be fine cleaning my Hermes sneakers like this ??

I just bought these and while they fit, they feel stiff. Can you tell me if that gets better after wearing them a while? The tongue also feels surprisingly stiff.

I bought thick crew socks to cushion the tongue area. I haven’t worn them enough to break them in.
