number stamp next to letter 'year' stamp

I apologize if this has been answered on a previous thread, but I could not information on it....what does the number stamp mean on birkins? Are they a color code? Or craftsman code? Example: on the other side of my 'L' stamp is a 19E, does anyone know what this means??

Where is the stamp..and is in on a birkin? Sorry newbie alert.

The stamp should be underneath the front flap of your harwdware where it is marked HERMÈS - PARIS

On Birkins, the year of production and craftsman's code are typically found on the inside of the strap under the metal plate. I understand that, on occasion, bags are released without such markings.
