Normal wear and tear or defect of Amanda leather?

This is what the corners of my little used cosmetics case look like. It bugs me that it happened so quickly. I noticed it maybe after a week or so? It hasn't been in my bag since. It's really disappointing. Is it the same leather as the Sabrina? If so, I will be crossing the Sabrina off my wish list if I have to worry about the same scenario.

Do you think it accidentally rubbed up to something abrasive? With normal wear and tear that should NOT be happening after a week.

Not sure, but I don't see how. I don't have anything abrasive in my bag. Especially with the satin lining of my bags I am mindful of what goes in.

^I'm looking at my teal cosmetic case right now. While there is a bit of wear (the leather is a bit lighter blue in some places) it doesn't look scratched. I've been using mine in my bags for almost 2 months. Sorry this is happening!

I have the magenta satchel, using it often on *dates* w/ hubz, and the leather isn't showing even the tiniest bit of wear. That shouldn't be happening w/ your case.

Is there something you mgiht've accidentally bumped into? It almost looks like it was rubbed against a surface, like a wall that's not smooth. I just got my 3 cases from the Bay so I can't say how mine holds up.

Not sure. It's possible, but I can't think of anything it could have been bumped against. Both sides look like that though, so I am not sure I would bump it on both sides.
