Did anyone get the Nordstrom XS Le pliage neo? I got the black and the handle leather is a lot stiffer with very rough seams (side of strap) on the handle and long strap. There is no glazing on seams. The suede texture on the back of flap is very rough and stiff. I have 7 longchamp bags and a small neo from maybe 7-8 yrs ago and the quality is so different. I went to check the store and they didn‘t have any new XS’s to compare, but the Xtra’s and leather bags had glazing. There was a city tote that had a rougher handle with no glazing, but it wasn’t as bad as my Neo xs. The sales lady said there weren’t any complaints. There was only 1 review on the website that mentioned the quality difference, while most reviews were positive. Did I get a faulty one or was an inferior bag produced for the sale?

I bought both the black and the taupe during the Nordstrom sale. I don't have any Neos to compare them against however, my collection is primarily the original style bags and the club versions. I also bought a custom XS from Longchamp directly as well as the navy striped pouch which is just slightly smaller than these XS bags. None of mine have glazing on the seams and the straps do feel a bit sharp, like they have started to cut corners. I don't think they made inferior bags for the Nordy sale, I just think this is the way they are doing things now unfortunately. None of my older bags are made like this, and that makes me a little sad.
I checked my XS’s from the N sale and the edges seem a little more rough than the Neo long handle totes and non-Neo nylon XS’s I have, all from a couple of years ago. But I don’t think there’s any glazing on them either so they aren’t super smooth or soft. So you may be right that they now make them differently than before.
You piqued my curiosity- I compared my 2 recent XS purchases from the Toiletpaper collection (skull and bulldog) to my Nordie anni XSs. The TPs are not noticeably different in terms of the edge texture and smoothness or the softness of the suede under the flap. The one thing that is different is the grain of the leather- the TP are deeper and richer looking to me. But otherwise, the quality is comparable. It may just be the way of the world and this is how LP is finishing edges. It may not be such a bad thing as long as the edges are not sharp/dangerous since the glazing is a chronic issue with edges for many brands. I hope you love your purchase from the NAS- I am happy with mine.
I’m still trying to decide whether to keep. Based on the replies, I don’t think it worth the effort to get another one and do an exchange. Nordstrom said they would honor the sale price. It looks fine, but it doesn’t feel like Longchamp. If I bought it

If you are on the fence, I would return it. It does not sound like you are happy with the NAS neo XS. Put the $ toward something you will 100% love.
