What kind of handbags do you like that are more inexpensive brands? I am getting disillusioned with the more upscale bags that sometimes wear and fray too quickly, so I am looking on ebay at other bags, some in the $15 to $50 range.

If you don't mind vintage bags that wear like iron you may want to consider those by either Coach or Dooney and Bourke.

Both brands have exceptional quality, especially some of their older ones. You can usually find them on ebay for very reasonable prices.

Fossil. They are very well made with nice leather

Thought about another brand: Hobo International. You can find good deals on ebay

Looking for under $50.

I've looked at vintage Louis Vuitton and they are way outside of my price range on ebay.

I have an old Fendi bag, circa 1993, that I pulled out of my closet today and cleaned it off. Its a little shabby around the edges but I may start carrying it anyway.

I found a brand new handbag at a consignment store that I love, it is a Liz Claiborne, in mint condition, got it for $7 (it was on clearance).

It's not really a brand, but I love handmade bags from sellers at artist markets and etc. We have a lot of them around where I live and some make very interesting looking bags. I don't own any myself but would if I found a perfect one.

My oldest daughter owns some purses by Guess if you can get near an outlet you can easily get them for under 50$.

Kipling and lesportsac are also good bags, but are nylon. The idea of looking for vintage bags is a good one too.. many are able to find nice ones at the second hand shops for small cost.

For that price range, thrifting is your best friend. I've seen people share beautiful almost new leather bags they found at thrift stores. eBay is ok too but the leather bags I have bought cheap usually have some kind of issue like wear or blemishes, so you have to be prepared for some purchases turning out to be duds.

If you don't care about it being a 'brand name' some department store/shoe store non-branded ones are good. I had a red leather purse with lots of pockets inside for organization that was under $50 at a discount shoe store, and I liked it better than a lot of designer ones I've seen. Only held up for about a year (of every day use) but I've had Guess and Liz Claiborne items that fell apart after a few weeks/months.

My mother does not like designer bags (or designer anything) at all and is more into function. Hates logos and etc. She only has one bag and carries the same one every single day. It was $30 from a store like Target or Century 21 and she bought it nine years ago.

Despite using it constantly no matter the weather and not rotating it with any other bags, it is still going strong today, so it is possible to get a leather bag that lasts from a non brand.

Thanks.

I have found bags at thrift stores, but very few leather ones. Maybe I just need to look harder.

When I shop in ebay, I make sure they include lots of photos of the bags and full descriptions. A little wear is okay for me, but not too much. I also look carefully at the seller's feedback rating.

Someone on ebay recently was selling a "vintage" Louis Vuitton wallet , and the corner looked like it had been chewed off by a small dog. They wanted $100 for it!

There are a lot of nice leather bag which are quite affordable. I am a student so I usually buy during SALES or Preloved[emoji13]. Here are few brands you may want to check out.

Radley, TopShop, Zara, Cynthia Rowley, Fossil, Oroton, Furla, Rebecca Minkoff, Jerome Dreyfuss, Karl Lagerfield, Botkier, Asos, Pour La Victoire, Milly, Lixmee, Vince Camuto, Coach, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Marc by Marc Jacob, Calvin Klein, DKNY, Michael Kors.

There are a few more names I cannot remember now. But you can download Polyvore app which will alert you when there is sales going on for items you like. Or u can set filter on the app and it will only show bags below 100. Hehe that is what I usually do when I shop!

Zara makes cute bags for vr reasonable price i think. If you dont mind faux leather.. i also found lots of korean brands faux leather bags under $50. They're mostly inspired but not look totally like the designer models. I hv some before & quite like the quality but then discovered that here in indonesia i easily find local brands made from genuine leather for under $100. You can try check abekani, berliano taskulit, vigna, etc in fb. They make fabulous leather bags for such kind prices.
