So, although I hail from sunny and warm Hawaii, I now live in snow-covered Boston where, after two shivery winters, I've wised up about winter coats. I now have a puffy down coat, which is warm but not exactly flattering. The other day I saw a girl at Crate + Barrel with the cutest coat and I'm kicking myself for not asking her where she got it from! It appeared to have some kind of insulation on the inside, but the outside was a flat canvas-y material with a fleur de is pattern on it. Can you guys give me some suggestions? Here's what I'm looking for:

    - Quilted or down-filled on the inside, but flat on the outside (think North Face "Boulevard" Coat)

    - Hood with fur trim
    - Preferably something with shape -- perhaps a belt?

I know you ladies are the most fashion savvy of all, so your help would be greatly appreciated!!!
  2. Saks had some decent ones in as did the Saks outlet in Wrenthem Village when I went a month or so ago. There is also a good shop on Newbury Street called ***** pelle which sells some very nice ones (go NOW for the best discounts I reckon)

    Saks (PRada)

    Saks (Real Clothes)

Good luck - you'll need one in Boston!
