Hi all,

Yesterday I visited the C boutique at Hong Kong Intl Airport and received a panthere watch there as a gift— was just curious to know what standard watch packaging and extras are like as I feel like my purchase was missing a lot of the extras I got with my last C purchase? I will say I don’t care a ton about getting perfume samples, extra gifts, etc, but was moreso curious if watch and jewelry purchases have different packaging, or if purchases made in airports may have less frills for ease of transport?

My watch came with the classic red storage box and in a red C shopping bag. But it was not packaged in the white paper with red wax seal. Also, we did not receive a carrying pouch or cleaning kit, but I’m not sure if those are “gifts” instead of standard things anyway. Finally, I remember with my purchase of a love necklace there was a little red leather “card” that opens and closes and on it was printed the authenticity information — I did not receive something like this this time? There was a little white card of authenticity/warranty, but not the red leather certificate or anything.

If anyone has input I’d love to hear! I do wish I had the bag and cleaning kit!

I have received both the cleaning kit and pouches, but I did hear from my SA it's based on availability of those 2 items and SA discretion. You can always call customer service to request those items and they will assist you and point you in the right direction of who to contact to get them.

My understanding is a cleaning kit comes with items with diamonds. If you didn’t get it in the boutique with your purchase, you can request through the customer service.
For the authenticity cert, I also asked the boutique and the customer service when I purchased my watch in February this year too. I was told that it’s different now for watches. They only give out the white warranty card for you to register your watch online, but no authenticity cert given out like jewelry (or watches in the past).

My TF watch came with cleaning kit (which has had already expired as I never used it Back then! That was many years ago). I also received CK with non diamond bracelets.

I believe there might be no standards but I guess we could try to ask for one if you really needed something. The most they can do is say sorry-no.

I've never bought at an airport but at the boutique I've always been offered everything available. I've gotten a love bangle, 3 rings, and a watch. Also, none of my purchases have had diamonds on them.
I don't get the wrapping with the wax seal because I always wear my pieces out. This is just as a precaution for theft but also I'm just way too excited and just want to wear it ASAP lol. Also, I never use my travel pouches or cleaning kits, everything gets cleaned when I wash my hands lol.

I think it really depends on what supplies are available at which locations and the SA. It doesn't hurt to ask. If you have a regular SA you go to locally you can ask him/her and let him/her know that you didn't get one at the airport.

As for authenticity, I have not bought anything this year. But I have always gotten the red bifold authenticity card in previous years.

Not in my experience, we’ve made 5 purchases over the past 2-3 years and four of the five are diamond pieces and I’ve never received a cleaning kit.
I received travel pouches/pillows however.

I have never purchased a watch but I have three bracelets and a ring, some with diamonds. I have always received a cleaning kit. My boxes were only wrapped with the white paper and wax when I asked them to, in my boutique it's done for items purchased as a gift. Authneticity papers came in a red cardboard envelope, no velvet.

For the cleaning kit I also think it depends on the amount shipped to each store because Boston said they usually have the cleaning kits in stock but the flagship on 5th Avenue says that they run out all of the time.

My purchases from boutiques- the item was always in a red storage box, plus a white cardboard outer box. Then wrapped in white paper with a red ribbon and then wax seal. With watches, the boutique stamped the inside of the instruction book or warranty book if I remember correctly (I haven't bought a watch there in almost 4 years, just jewelry). As for the cleaning kits or pouches, some SA's gave them to me if I stopped by and chatted with them. I don't really consider them an actual gift that goes with a purchase as I don't think I ever got one when purchasing a watch (and they aren't actually available for purchase the way perfume, porcelain trinket trays, scarves etc). Also, every time I sent a watch or jewelry for service it was always returned in a red travel pouch.

The cleaning kit has been out of stock for a while due to supply issues since the pandemic as well. Not sure if they’ve resolved it but I may imagine airports are probably on the bottom of the ladder compared to in-city boutiques.
