Thats so sad! I'm personally just not a shoulder bag kinda girl, hence I only have one Speedy B in Empreinte and I carry her 9 out of 10 times in my hand so for me the strap makes zero sense plus I like the clean look of the classic. 
Oh, no! I love the Speedy, but am not a fan of the Speedy B...

I think LV is revamping the Speedy. Like what happened with Noe. Classic speeds will probably come with a new interior look. Perhaps a new way to construct the bag where it not too flimsy. Perhaps along with bottom studs on the bottom? 😅
that would be a mess. The appeal of the speedy is its long standing design. changing a classic rarely work. But I assume it's something new clients will like.
I agree. I get the practical side of it, but I was against the inner pockets as well (which already had like 3 iterations).
The Noe has received some alterations. I can’t seem to like it having feet’s at the bottom. I don’t think nothing is safe personally.
Also, looks like Pharrell's P9 speedy will be coming in both 25 and 30 per the latest men's show, so my guess is that they're phasing out the "more affordable" classic speedy's in the same size for now as to not compete with those new pricier all-leather options.
