'No More Bags for You!' in the NY Times today

The headline made me laugh as I thought of all of us on our so-called "bans."

The article is more about luxury retailers who sell online through Saks, NM, and eluxury (so, not Chanel), but this part at the end caught my eye:

I doubt it's the cause, but perhaps the falling dollar has some indirect connection with Chanel's steep price hikes?
  2. Also, has anyone heard of Chanel instituting a "purse quota" in US boutiques to limit the number of models one can buy? Now that's a high-class problem I haven't had!
  3. Doesn’t have anything to do with popular demand. Interesting. Who knew?
  4. Thank you for sharing the article.

I think it's great news and long overdue! I completely support, "Retailers Limit Purchases of Designer Handbags."

The hoarding of items and reselling them is a trend I loathe and can bring out the worst behavior in some people and is analogous to the scene in the book "Generation of the Vipers" and the women at a fabric sale.
