In my experience, they run large, so get the next size down (this is for the flannel ones).
I don't know about the line they did for Target though, I'm thinking they run smaller since they're cotton.

I have three pairs of Nick and Nora pjs, they run pretty large! I wear a size small or extra small in clothing and I bought them in small as well, I was floating around in them lol. I guess it's ok as they ARE meant to be loose and comfy
