Niche/ small company brands on the rise?? fill me in!

I haven't been on the lookout for a bag in ages, been on a ban and it's been so good to be back.

I miss some of the wonderful brands of old like Botkier, Hayden Harnett, Treesje... etc and wanted to ask you all and find out if there are any brands of the 2010's that are still around making great thick leather bags for great value/ quality?

I'll third the recommendation for Polene. Love my Numero Uno in Yellow. It makes me smile every time I see it and I can use it year round.
