NF in Monogram or Damier?

Hi all, I am getting my very first LV and wanted to get the NF in MM. Should I get the classic Monogram or the Damier? I heard that the Damier was sturdier and that I didn't have to worry about the vachetta staining and such. But the monogram just seems so classic. Are there pros and cons to consider between the two choices?

I prefer the Damier - it's Chic and Classic! Plus its easier to care for.

I like the damier look better. It's easier to take care of because like you said, there's no vachetta to worry about.
