Hi All -

I'm debating my next bag purchase and would love some input from this very knowledgeable group. I'm torn between a Speedy 25 or 30 - and I know this is a long-debated topic - BUT - here's where we take a turn...

If the answer is a 25 - do I go with my grail of a 25 Cerises vintage, a DE (of which I have no DE and have always been torn if I like - though I appreciate the care free nature of the DE and that I don't have any DE), a plain mono (of which I feel like I have enough plain mono), or a Mon-Mono (recently purchased a 35B MM for airline travel mostly). If I go with a 30 - similar issues minus Cerises.

Relevant LV bags I own include:
- NF MM Mono (mostly work)
- NF MM Azur (mostly work)
- Speedy B 35 Mon Mono (mostly airline travel "personal item")
- Petit Noe Mono (mostly casual, running errands)

Considerations: A traditional Speedy will hold value. The Cerises Speedy, while an investment, should appreciate - and I've always loved it. (And DM me if you have one to sell ). The Mon-Mono is always fabulous because of the customization - and to some extent - what do I care about resale if I'm keeping it to the grave?? I don't have kids to leave my bags to.

Also, is the 25 redundant to my Petit Noe?? But if so, is the 30 too close in size to the 35 (though I would use them for different purposes) or the NF MM?? My thought is that this bag is more of a go-to bag rotating with my Petit Noe, a couple of Chloe, Coach, etc as the need suggests.

Thanks for any and all feedback! I do plan to swing by my local store with my NF packed normally so I can try out the sizes. But I'm also thinking longer term. I'm over 50yo and tend to carry more on a daily basis than I used to.

ACK! THANK YOU!

I agree on the 25 size -- it's a little power beast in terms of what it can carry. One thing to consider with the Cerises is that it is more of a collector's than a daily (and although one might use it as a daily, you mention value appreciation; so I think you're viewing it as a collector's). With too much wear the screen printing will wear. (For example, if you look at FP now, there's a little Cerises key pouch that was well loved.) So you might consider frequency of intended use. As much as I ADORE my Cerises, she doesn't come out that often for this reason.

Thanks to all for the feedback! I'm leaning toward the Cerises. My daily bag rotation is fairly full so the Cerises seems like the right size coupled with a collectable/special use bag. Now I need to find one in the shape I want AND sell a few houses so I can justify buying it!

I would have suggested the Cerises as well. I was too young and poor to afford anything from Murakami at the time.
I love all of my Speedys though. I have one in every size and different patterns depending on my mood and the weather

Ditto the Cerises! I have been thinking long and he’s about this too and I think my purchases from now on will be the bags I have always wanted…..because my rotation of daily bags that I like is solid.

You have a great variety of sizes which gives you some great options (something we have in common). I tend to gravitate towards unique styles of traditional icons, so I think the Cerise 25 would be the perfect addition. The challenge is finding a mint piece , but of course as long as the canvas cherries aren't faded, and the interior is decent, you can always invest in replacing the handles and it would be like getting a new one. Happy hunting !!

This is exactly the dilemma! I would be willing to have the vachetta replaced but I'd love to find one in great shape and I'm willing to pay a little more for it. I'm going to start a more serious hunt and hopefully I can find something by my birthday in late April
