Newbie wondering about Uptown medium tote

Hi,

I've had my eye on the Uptown medium tote (specifically black grain de poudre embossed leather). All of the sudden, it is like this specific bag is sold out everywhere. I actually tried purchasing it from Selfridges, but their site is not live and it is actually sold out, as well.

I'm new to Uptown. Is it a staple to YSL? Or once it is gone, is it gone?

I thought this was a fairly new style. I was looking at it because it's very similar to the Louis Vuitton matte black lock me tote. It doesn't say but this looks like it here on Nieman Marcus website.
