Newbie question

Ok-so I'm a newbie to Hermes, but really really really want a Birkin. In black (not particular about leather), 35, with palladium hardware. Other than the store, which I was told has a huge waitlist (always heard the rumors, now confirmed), what is my best avenue? Ebay scares me for something like this, but I'm not opposed to buying a pre-loved one.

Could someone let me know or either point me towards a couple of threads that discuss this? I tried to do a search, but I was kind of overwhelmed. :wondering

That way you don't need to be scared, don't need to wait and best scenario might even end up saving money (if you decide to get a preloved one)! If you are insecure, you can always get the bag authenticated in the authentication thread. Good luck finding your dream bag!

Have you been following the Inventory Thread in the Hermes Shopping sub-forum? Keep an eye on that thread. Alot of lovely tpfers will post what they see at their stores, and maybe your Birkin could be right there to be had?

i think the "wait" is a total myth. the key is to get to know a SA well, they will hook you up with a birkin within couple of months. i've been offered atleast 4 birkins from my SA within the last 6 months or so.
