Newbie - looking for quality silver jewelry

Hi-

I am new to this forum (I am usually on MUA). I am just getting interested in jewelry. I like silver jewelry best on me. This weekend I went to Tiffany's and bought the beaded bracelet with the teeny lock pendant and I love it. Now I am plotting to get the key necklace and a charm bracelet at the very least.

Who else sells nice silver jewelry that is good quality? I esp. am interested in finding some nice hoop earrings - maybe less expensive than Tiffanys but a few steps up in quality from the mall kiosk?

Any recs are appreciated, thanks!

Hi
Welcome to the forum : )

How about Georg Jenson - who does nice but fairly expensive silver jewellery

Or Links of London who do a lot of nice silver jewellery and charm bracelets etc
http://www.linksoflondon.com/

How about Pandora? (lots of threads on here about Pandora) - I have a silver charm bracelet and the charms can also be worn on leather necklaces, earrings, rings etc
http://www.pandora-jewelry.com/UK.aspx

And not sure where you are located, but this is a nice silver jewellery shop which is low-mid priced - would be good for nice hoop earrings, I think.

Alex Monroe is nice (they sell gold and silver)

And how about www.etsy.com - if you do a search for silver hoop earrings, you could be on this website for days!!! Lots of jewellery makers who sell their own jewellery

Hope these help.

i would suggest the following:

Tiffany's

David Yurman

Judith Ripka for QVC

Judith Jack for QVC

Judith Jack mainline (has a lot of marcasite in the jewelry)

Independent designers on Etsy

Same! I think Tiffany is so overpriced for what it is. QVC has some really nice sterling pieces not from those lines too and they have a great return policy. Check out the customer reviews and you can see which items are favorites.

Also, Novica.com has some really wonderful things and are more of a "feel good" purchase for me b/c of how the business is set up.

Oh, elizat, how could I forget Novica.com? I highly recommend Novica. There are so many great Artisans on that site. Beautiful filigree pieces. Also, elizat is correct about other great pieces from QVC besides those lines I recommended. I love QVC. Watch out...it can be addicting. LOL!

QVC is having a designer silver day, Saturday I think and they carry some excellent silver designers, ann king (wife of Lagos), Barbara Bixby (combo silver/gold), Robert Lee Morris (modern), Anthony Nak, Judith Ripka, et al. Try searching on their website if you can't watch Saturday.
