New to Hermes, going to Paris and hoping to buy an Evelyne. I understand that this is one of the less popular bags; can I just go into a store and request one? I've looked in this thread and that see that far more elaborate steps are necessary for the more popular bags. Sorry to sound like a newbie (I am one). I have several experiences buying LV and Chanel and just walked in every time! Thanks

It's a very popular bag (partially because the price point is much lower than its B/K/C cousins) but it seems to be readily available. It shouldn't be an issue to buy one.

It's a very popular bag, but more are in production so it's usually findable. Paris can be an issue because the Evelyne is quite a bit less expensive there, so they get snapped up fast by visitors. That said all three stores plus the CDG airport duty-free have this bag often. And again, it's much less expensive in France than the US or most of Asia.

If you are based in Europe I would recommend buying it online. Usually a few show up each week

Yes, and to add if you are maybe outside Europe I think you may be able to order from the french website and have it shipped to store as a click and collect. Just make sure you allow enough time for it to arrive in store (2-3 business days)

Thanks so much for the replies. I'm based in the US and will only be in Paris for a few days (going on a river cruise), so I don't think there would be time to order online. Does anyone know if I will be able to go to a store and buy without making an appointment?

Sevres and George V you can walk up on the day and ask for appt, although I have been to Sevres twice and was able to purchase bags without while shopping for other items. FSH you have to apply for appt online for leather goods.

Are you going to any other French cities?

Can you order online and have it delivered to your hotel? That's what I've done if I really want something and am willing to forgo the tax savings. Even with duty coming back into US, it's still a big savings over US prices.

Another good idea to consider however as she said there’s not much time in Paris it would probably be best for her to order in advance of her arrival in Paris and have it sent to the store, they will hold it for several days before it is sent back and she will also get to inspect it before she takes it away

Yes - usually I order ahead and ask my hotel to hold it for me - that way I don't need to stop at a boutique. Saves time if I am only in Paris for a day or so and more efficient than boutique pickup.

My friend went to Paris and said they are available but sell fast , although it’s moderately priced compared to other bags don’t count this one out . Evelyne bags have a big following . But you shouldn’t have a problem, but I would be open to
a few colors .

Is it possible I can walk into Sevres store to purchase non bag items without making an appointment?
