Hi Everyone,

I hope someone can help. I have a Hermes scarf and scarf ring that my now ex-husband purchased for me while on a trip to Paris around 1997. We ended our marriage the day of his return so the beautiful scarf and scarf ring have been in the original packages from the day of his return. I took them out of their boxes this morning and the scarf is dark Blue/Navy Blue on the exterior and mostly white on the interior. It is an equestrian theme and has Cadre Noir at the top along with other words, which I can supply. The artist is G. Margot. I'm am thinking of selling these items but want to better educate myself prior to doing anything with them. They are beautiful but bring back hurtful times.

Any and all information is appreciated!

Thank you!

I don't know where to begin. Cadre Noir is a great classic design by Margot and Grygkar. Not sure it would be considered "grail" but certainly there's a buyer out there for a perfect condition blue one. Please PM me if you want help describing and preparing for your listing. FYI, pictures should always include signature, copyright, title, care tag, example of hems. What kind of ring is it? Do you know the name or can you describe it?
Sorry for your sadness. sdsc

Your best bet would be to go the Ebay route - take loads of pictures, show the scarf in its entirety, get closeups of the tags, hems, artist's name, name of the scarf, the more the better. It really helps a buyer when they have big, clear pictures of the item to gauge the condition and authenticity.

I'm not sure how sought after this particular design is, but you could do a little research on Ebay first, see what scarves are currently going for, and then price along those lines. Or near retail would be a good bet too.

Good luck!
