New YSL camera bag and I'm thinking of getting another one

I am new to YSL and i just recently purchased the Lou Matelasse camera bag in dark green... so far , i am inlove! I am thinking of getting another one in a beige color, but I have a few questions before I take the plunged.
* how well does the camera bag hold up after many repetitive use?
*for beige owners: is this color extremely delicate in which u must be super careful with it?
*anyone else owns more than one camera bag? I really love the style of the camera bags..
* do you guys think that it's a classic piece that I can justify buying another one in a different color?

Overall I like it because it is roomy, lightweight and useful. However, the leather strap while comfortable does nothing for me aesthetically. I think the mini with the chain strap is more my style. As for how it holds up, mine needed repair after about 6 months of use. The strap holders were worn down to the metal on all 4 sides. fortunately, the repair was fast. Think for most people this wasn't an issue.

*They have held up pretty well for me over the past 2-3 years. I use the navy one most often and it’s held shape well. Also not too much wrinkling or any scratches with the darker leather.
*I have a beige one but haven’t used it enough to give an opinion. The color is beautiful though!! My sister has a beige one too so I’ll find out and get back to you.
*I personally think it’s worth having more than one because they’re so versatile - can dress it down or up. Good capacity, excellent leather quality at a very fair price point. I also like that it’s not as popular/common as the Gucci soho

My pleasure! Also, my sister got back to me and she said her beige Lou is still in good condition and she uses it quite often. She said there has not been any color transfer, no major scratches or wrinkling, and if there's a stain, wiping off with a damp towel will do the trick. Hope that helps in your decision!

I love the Lou camera bags! I got a black with tarnished silver HW first, and got the beige with gold HW for Christmas. I’ve been using it everyday and it looks great.

Thank you! I just love these bags so much and they come in so many pretty colors it’s hard to resist. I personally haven’t noticed any creases or too many flaws with the bags. I got them a few years ago in Europe so not sure if quality has changed since then. Hopefully not! Here’s a close up of the black one after a few uses. There’s not too much creasing. Hopefully there will be a few bags you can pick and choose from to find your perfect one

I don't own this style in multiple colors, but am considering getting other colors in the mini Lou. My general rule would be to start using yours religiously. See how it holds up and how often you use it, THEN venture into other colors. Give it a good 3 months and wait for any possible discounts down the road.

BTW, that bag looks lovely on you.

I have the black on black version. I bought it the December before Covid and it became my quarantine bag. I’ve worn it constantly since March 2020 and haven’t babied it at all because of the stressors last year brought. It literally looks new.
I’m shocked because I wasn’t that big a fan of YSL’s quality.
