Hi - just left the Milford Plaza at 45th and 8th last night. It is clean. Safe. They are in the process of remodeling so maybe rooms will be discounted? I have stayed there twice since the remodel began and never heard a sound or been inconvienced. My company paid so I don't know the price. There are alot of bad reviews about this hotel on line. I have been staying there since 1999 and it has been sorta ickky in the past. But, they have new owners now and are really updating the hotel.

July weather is hot, humid and hazy whereas May is still comfortable.

tripadvisor travellers write reviews -- I would read them before booking an inexpensive NY hotel -- they also tend to be a bit more budget conscious than some of the other travel sites. Good luck.

i read up some reviews bout carter hotel anyway so its not looking good for there must do some more searching thanks everyone for all advice
