New to Prada … looking at the Re Edition

Hello!

I’m looking for a cute casual everyday crossbody. I generally use my YSL Lou Camera bag or Gucci Marmont but I’m looking for something even more casual if that makes sense. I have 3 little kids and still use a diaper bag so I want something small and crossbody and it’s for my stuff only lol I generally only carry my phone, keys, small LV wallet and sometimes a little makeup. I am eyeing the re edition in either nylon or Saffiano leather… I’m torn between this bag or the LV Multi Accessoires Pochette. I know this trend has been around for a while now and maybe passed but I still think it’s cute! Please tell me the good, bad and ugly. If you prefer leather or nylon… etc.

I like their nylon bags. I wear it in the rain and it's very durable. If you get anything on it you can just wipe it off with water and a cloth.

I prefer the nylon version. Besides it being more casual it’s also a good rainy day option.

I got the bag about 2 years ago.
Was deciding between saffiano and nylon.

My husband said, he personally could not justify the price for a non-leather bag and I agreed.
I love the saffiano version. It is a stiffer leather that will not relax over time so you may not be able to put as many items in as the nylon version. But personally, I don’t put a lot in my bags anyway. .
I also tend to not use the crossbody strap (which is interesting because I thought I would use it a lot)
It’s great in the rain as well. Water just slides off of it easy and I don’t baby it at all.

I also saw a review on YouTube of a girl who got the nylon version of the nude color. She got it dirty and for some reason it could not get cleaned out. And she kind of regretted getting the bag in that color. She said if it was black it would have probably been okay.

In general I think the nylon version is more casual and the saffiano more dressy. But I’ve had no issues dressing down my bag.

It's good to have at least one nylon bag, and the Prada ones are just the nicest.
The usability is great! No weight, nothing to care


...but on the other hand: look at @lill_canele 's beautiful bag

It’s gorgeous. I think that’s kind of how I feel. $2400 CDN for nylon seems like a lot compared to the price for leather… but then again the MAP is canvas and more than the prada safiano

Are the lighter ones hard to clean?!

I had gotten some mud on it from my sneakers. I just stuck that part under the faucet and wiped it clean. It dried and looked new. Mine is the light beige color.
