Here is my first Roley and I going to dinner (bad phone pic-sorry!)
It's a stainless steel (white face) rolex oyster perpetual date (34mm) Technically a men's watch but I think with the trend for bigger watches that size is probably a little small for most dudes.
I bought it from a trusted seller on rolexforums.com (don't even bother to look right now, the forum is down again today--the word is they bust so many fake Rolex ebay sellers that they are often "attacked" so the forum crashes not infrequently--it will be back up next week, I'm sure).
Anyway, I had the bezel replaced (it came with a machined one and I wanted a smooth one--my watchmaker had a Rolex one the right size in stock--yeah!). It's from 2001 but it is in beeeeaaauuutiful shape. No visible dings or scratches (even the clasp looks unscratched--whoever had this couldn't have worn it often) My watchmaker dude here in town took a look and measured it on his little machine and said it's keeping excellent time etc. . .said it looks great probably won't need a service for several years.
Even with the bezel change, it came in at well less than half MSRP for a new Oyster Perpetual date.
Anyway some of you knew i was waiting on my new baby--just thought I'd let you know she got here
Now I have to start saving for a Rolex Sub. . .hehehe
