New to Gucci, Need Help

Hi All,

I'm normally an LV girl, but have been eyeing the small Marmont matelassé shoulder bag in black and the Soho Disco in either black or rose beige. I can only do one right now, so which would you suggest for a first-timer? Admittedly, I have seen neither in person, and it is my hope that I'll make it to a boutique this weekend to check them both out. I've also YouTube'd a few reviews/comparisons, but I always trust TPF-ers to give honest opinions most. Any input is helpful!

Both are very nice... I am not certain but I think the Marmont May hold more. I like the quilting of the Marmont and the pebbled leather of the Disco... I think I would purchase the Marmont but they are both so good.

If you want a black bag, I would say go with the Marmont!
The black quilted leather is so nice!
And the design of the Marmont is newer. So won’t see too many other Marmont bags around (yet)).
The disco has been a staple for a while now.

Good luck on deciding and congrats on a bag either way! :smile:

So I ended up getting the camera bag and the cardholder/wallet yesterday. I wanted the mini flap bag, but I didn’t fall in love with it and the strap was too short to be a crossbody on me, so the camera bag won out. And with the price difference in those two, I was able to get the wallet, too.

`Personally, I prefer the camera style anyway (even though I usually prefer flaps) so well done you.

I was having a crisis earlier because I’m so used to LV, but now I’m finding myself admiring it and can’t wait to use it!

I was looking for this topic all day on a thread!!! I’m looking into either the Mini Flap or Disco. I’m also leaning toward the Mini Flap because I just love the gold hardware and chunky chain. I hope yours is everything you dreamed of. Tbw closest Gucci to me is in Boston so I’d have to wait until it got nice enough out to go :-/

I’m also such an LV girl that I can’t believe I love these two Gucci bags! I’ve watched at least 10 online videos on each.

I loved the look of the mini flap, I just wish the strap was adjustable, so I could wear it as a cross body. I've been using my camera bag daily and I LOVE it! I hope you're able to get to a store soon to check them out!! :D
