Hey everyone, so I don’t own anything Chanel, but I’d like to make the dive. I was just wondering if the experts could let me know what styles of bags come in caviar? Is lamb skin really as delicate as everyone says it is? TIA!

Hi-- enjoy the dive into Chanel --once you are there it's hard to come back out that pool!
If you like the look of lamb, I'd say go for it. I have both caviar and lamb--and I find both wear fine. My boy bag is lambskin and the only problem I have is under the flap (with scratching from keys and stuff hitting it)--but I wear this bag a lot doing errands- it's at least 5 or 6 years old- and it still looks great. If you are super rough on bags, you can go to caviar, but if it's lamb you really like-I wouldn't be afraid to go that route as long as you use reasonable care.

Thank you so much for your response! I try to baby my bags as much as possible but things do happen. The lamb skin really is very beautiful and I didn’t want to be limited in what I’d buy. I actually like a lot of Chanel’s seasonal bags, and it seems a lot are in lamb skin. I’ve just been a little scared of it from hearing it’s fragile but you’ve had yours soon long and they still look good, it’s gives me a better idea!
Yes it is. I have been collecting Chanel for over 8 years. They're all so pretty! Lamskin is elegant looking but it is delicate. I have lambskin bags and boy does it show wear. It's not pretty but oh well. It's what bags are for, to enjoy. Get caviar if you dont want to baby your bags.

Go try on bags, most swear you should have a classic flap, not me lol

I actually don’t like the classic flap (I know please don’t kill me lol) for some reason I like Chanel’s bags that are “different”
