New strap for Bella Tote

Ladies,

I’m wanting to give my bag a little pop and was thinking of getting the sporty jacquard strap for my black Bella tote. Thinking it will look like the Alma BB’s do with their straps. ( currently have a bubblegram BB which I love the style of the strap on)

Thoughts?

In my opinion, I don't think it would look good. It's two completely different looks. I think the Bella is very dressy and exquisite on its own, but with that guitar strap, I feel it would really dress it down and make it look too casual. I just don't think it would look right. But maybe that's your goal?

Well I could always switch back to original strap for “ fancier” outfits.

I also have other bags I would use it with as well.

But if you ladies all think it would look odd I’d hate to spend the money and end up not liking it myself, cuz I’m on the fence.

Honestly I’m sad, right after I got the Bella they released the version with the pink and cream highlight which I love so much more. I feel like the plain black hides all the mahina detail and unless you are right on top of the bag, it just looks like a plain black bag. Which is why I was thinking adding the strap would give me the pop I was missing. I love the style of the bag, the shape, etc. but I can’t help but feel a little disappointed.

I think it's stunning as-is. I love the black and love that it's under the radar. It's still noticeable LV, and maybe your "average" person might not notice it as being LV, but I assure you, an admirer will. Wear it in good health and happiness. It's a gorgeous bag.

Wear what you love and what you think would look good. It would be 2 different looks, for sure. You can always order it and put it on the actual bag to see. I need to see things in person to decide, but that's me. I love this bag but I would get it in Galet or Cream. I'm not into black bags.

I would just go in the store and put it on and see how you REALLY feel. Often when we think, we’re thinking only positive aspect of our thinking it will look great, be a good idea. But in reality it will be a very different outcome.

My opinion it going to really look out of place with the bag.

I love all the honesty. Thinking maybe I’ll do a bag charm instead to give her a little pop of glam and color .

If it were meant I wouldn’t have such a hard time pulling the trigger

Wanted to come back and thank you ladies. I decided against the strap with your advice and my husbands as well. Went with 2 new scarves and a couple bag charms instead and I’m very happy with the result.
