I just received my new monogram Speedy B 25 and all the hardware matches/is shiny - since when did they change the hardware??? My other Speedys all have the annoying mismatched hardware so this was a pleasant surprise.

I believe had just changed, but I think the latest gold color I’m afraid is going to wear off much quicker than older ones ( like 3 years ago or older), I believe nowadays the gold coating on some lower cost bags are too thin, I had a new style bag the gold worn off quickly with a year, in comparison, just to make example, the old Alma bb, favorite, Eva, speedy, neverfull and some 2000’s bags their gold tone still shining like brand new even they been regularly used for 10 years, 15 years or longer.
Gotcha! I hope it’s at least better than the old Speedy hardware. The hardware on my Speedy B 25 in DE has looked awful since about a month after purchasing back in 2017. I take very good care of my bags and all of them look pristine with exception of this one. Fortunately my Classic Speedys purchased around the same time don’t have the same issue (at least yet).

Oh man I don’t know but I’d want to sell mine and buy a new one then. I’m about to post a thread about issues with my replacement strap to see if anyone else had this issue. Each clasp is a different gold tone.
Oof that’s gorgeous - I know I can’t be wasteful but it really makes me want to upgrade. Enjoy her!
I hear you! Tempted to sell my DE Speedy B 25 to buy a new one with the shiny, matching hardware, as well. The matte hardware was tarnished/chipped within the first month of owning it. Hoping this one fares better!
I caved - I saw it in store and had to have it. It’s indeed the same gold hardware as alma bb and speedy 20 😭 I am going to sell my 2018 speedy B DE. I feel a little high maintenance but I am happy with my decision and my bag is in great condition so hopefully she will be well loved by someone else. I’ll post pics when I get my new one. I ordered her to the store for pick up so I don’t have to sign for it.

Thank you - I will! I also think because my original strap had such bad wrinkling throughout that replacing it with the new matte leather also was just another justification for me because it had the mismatched hardware and leather at that point lol.
The photos don’t really do it justice but I love the new hardware. I also didn’t have a matching strap so I feel justified lol. I will give credit to the older 2018 style as it is rich warm chocolate brown and the shiny leather is gorgeous. If I had no issues with my strap - I’d have a harder time justifying the upgrade. Leaving this here for anyone who is curious when they go shopping.
