My birthday is coming up and I have been hinting to DH how much I would *love* a love bracelet. Now that he's on board, I have been reading through countless love bracelet threads and the issues with the new screw system. Does anyone have any updates or know whether the problem with the screws has been resolved?

Even though I prefer the bangle to the cuff, the thought of not having to worry about the screws is nice...

I do not live near a Cartier boutique so we will be purchasing online and will not have the luxury of the SA securing the screws which would make me more comfortable.

Help!! :)

I was gifted mine on December 2014 and I have never had a problem with my love unscrewing. I check the screws everyday because I'm overly cautious, but they have never loosened. I've swam in the pool, work out, cook, do daily chores and I chase after my toddler everyday and my love has never given me a problem. I would like the believe the problem has been fixed, but this is just my personal experience on my own love bracelet. Don't get discouraged and get the love bracelet. I adore mine everyday [emoji5]️

I've had mine on for over 2 years and it has never come loose. No issues. The SA recommends to tighten one side a little and then do the other side and keep going back and forth until they both are tight. If that makes sense [emoji4]

Thanks for the replies. I exercise a lot which is my main concern. I plan on putting a sweatband over while exercising. It's worrisome to me that a bracelet that is supposed to be worn 24/7 needs checked quite frequently. I also plan on wearing it on my left wrist (if I get the bangle) and worry about the screws loosening when bumping against my Rolex. I live in my yoga pants and exercise gear most of the time and only wear my watch once a week or so. Typically I just wear my wedding set and trinity ring daily with my fitness tracker. Luckily I still have some time to decide!

I just got mine about a month ago, the SA put it on for me. Took it off when I went overseas and couple weeks ago hubby screwed it on for me when I got home. It's held up well and I wear it on my right hand, so I'd say the new screw system is fine. It's a lovely piece of jewelry. Hope you get yours soon :)

No problems. And a couple years of having the bangle. Should also add that my screws were messed up a couple of months ago because they were over screwed in, Cartier replaced the screws complimentary and even polished it for me. Love!

Nikki, you have cuffs too, right? I have been looking at WAY too many threads lately to remember this! ;) Which do you prefer?

My sister is in Chicago this weekend and I had her stop in the boutique to compare the bangle and bracelet while she was on the phone with me. The SA was so nice and answered all my questions through my sister and let her try on the bangle. To say that I am obsessing is an understatement! I wear mostly platinum and white gold but I also have several YG pieces and a trinity ring that I love. My sister, knowing my pieces, thinks I should go with the RG.

And the SA told my sister that the screws on the new system should be checked at least once a week indefinitely.

Decisions, decisions!

Hey,

I have one cuff and one bracelet. They are together in my pic to the left. I never wear them together, they don't stack well on me. Which one? I really couldn't choose. I love that the cuff fits closer to the wrist. But then I love the original design and it's meaning as well. I think both are great. Unlike some, I never take off my cuff, so I do treat it like my bangle. Good luck deciding, I am sure whatever you get will be lovely. I went in to the store to look at the multi-color white and fell in love. It is next and it is a full bracelet. :graucho:

I just got one with the new system and I wear t daily .. How veer in the middle of a meeting while I was talking it just fell off !! The screws had gotten that loose! I panicked obviously! Thank god the screws don't fall.. Anyway went home on and got dh to super tighten them! Let's see now if they come off again
