I spoke with my SA and she's holding a Gold one for me, there is also Etoupe, BJ and Raisin; I'll be going to see it in a day or two, I'll report and post pics IF I get it!!!!

I hope you get the DING DING DING, duna! The one I saw was a Gold Clemence and it was gorgeous! The price at my store is about USD3,980 (S$6,100). Still no shipment yet.

Raisin would have tone on tone stitching .... this bag will look better with white contrast stitching. I think the design of this bag will be lost in dark colours like black, raisin, marron fonce.

i saw the bag first in black, was great but not wow, and i saw last week in gold which was TDF!!!!
But i really wish to have a practical bag in raisin...

I only have a Victoria Valise 60cm travel bag. But I guess Hermes probably prefix all their travel bags Victoria? In that case it's definitely not named after VB since my travel bag was made 10 years ago.

No, this bag is definitely of the Victoria family. Think Plume without the hardware at the base of the handles.

Yes, it has two external zippers that zip along the middle and meet midway. There are also 2 internal pockets, no zipper, of fabric.

^^^Yes, that's how my SA described it, she also said it has feet, which is good. I agree with MrsS, although I love Raisin, I think this particular style looks better with contrast stitching (and I don't usually like contrast stitching) I really think it should be a very practical bag!

I am going to ask the leather specialist , but my first thought was Victoria Falls, as the Gladstone travel bag was named after him for his travels in Africa

I agree that a Vicotria Falls reference would be much more palatable. I think all the celebrity associations, particularly with the Birkin, does tarnish the company's reputation somewhat. I'm glad the company is recognizing that.

Thanks mrsS and HG for the descriptions. This has potential for me. There are times I need a shoulder bag of a decent size that can be zipped up, unlike GPTs and some of the new canvas bags. Plus I like the idea of leather on the outside. Now, we're all just waiting till Duna gets hers and posts pics.
