New RG bracelet or preloved WG 6 diamonds?

Ladies, I need your advice! I am eyeing Love bracelet for a long while and finally decided to get one (afraid it will be my last big purchase for a long while, there are now other priorities)
Initially I wanted a plain RG bracelet, it's nice with my skin tone, but today I found a preloved one (15years old) in very good condition WG with 6 diamonds for the same price as a new RG. Now I have big dilemma😉
On one side I love WG with diamonds too (btw, mainly my jewlerry is a WG) and it's a good bargain, on another hand its quite old, plus, when I'm back from my maternity leave to the office, maybe it will look 'too much' and too flashy for every day?? Don't know what to decide, please kindly help me with your ideas!

I don't like that the WG w/ diamonds is rhodium plated and must be re-dipped periodically.
(although sounds like a good deal.)

I personally love their RG and unplated WG.

I don't think the diamond version will be too flashy (pave is a different story!)
However, I'd probably get the RG because 1) It's new 2) I'm not a fan of the Cartier WG 3) Need to be replated periodically

Based on your opinions and reading many topics here is my short summary:

WG Love with 6 diamonds:

pros: 6 diamonds!😍, polished as new, doesn't have an industrial look like the ones without diamonds, half price of the new one with 4 diamonds
cons: in my case it's old (if it was worn for 15 years I have no idea how many times it was polished or replated, most likely not once), old screw system (although I know some are not happy with the new one..btw, how many screw system did change since 2000, once in 2012 or more times?), in the future should be periodically replated

RG Love:

pros: simply beautiful😊, more classic, doesn't requre so much service as the white gold, NEW
cons: cartier pink gold fades after a while and gets yellow

After all I'm still not sure which one to choose😔 the best would be to have both😜 but unfortunately can't afford it now.

Dear owners of WG with diamonds, how often do you need to service (replate) your bracelet? (if I understand correctly each time there is a thin layer of gold is taken off?) How quickly your bracelet got darker after the day of purchase or after replating service?

Dear owners of RG loves, how quickly your bracelets turned to yellow?

Get a new RG Love. While there are many authentic pre-owned Loves for sale in the 2nd hand market even by reputable dealers, private sales, etc, the world is just too ugly now and you just never know when you might buy a fake without knowing it. The process of trying your best to authenticate a pre-owned Love Bracelet is a big hassle and very worrisome too as many fakes these days you can't even tell the difference compared to an authentic one.

Why I say this is that while the seller may be trustworthy, I have had friends who purchased their Hermes' Wallets, Birkins, LV Bags, etc at the official boutique itself with some of them ending up to be fakes. Yes, fake Birkins being sold at the Hermes Flagship Boutique.

I have learned the hard way through some experiences myself so to be safe, I would say get a brand new RG Love from the Cartier Boutique, and while it doesn't happen often, discounts can be had if you ask politely and very sincerely. (Cash payment is a big plus too).

Dear CartierLover18, thank you for your advice! Sorry for your experience(( I'm afraid you are right and nowdays it's a big risk to get a fake products on the secondary market. Especially such known and popular brands as Cartier(( Indeed, to buy such piece means to accept the risk or to try to authenticate it yourself later? Btw, does Cartier do this without servicing?
For discount unfortunately no chance in our boutique, I've already asked. I'm really angry on myself that I missed the price increase just two weeks ago((

@Vvicky - As to whether Cartier will authenticate bracelets, or any other items, it really depends on each individual Boutique but most certainly would not as the sales associate or managers of the boutiques would not want to be held liable if they are unable to authenticate it correctly. As I have mentioned, the very good fakes these days are literally the exact same thing as a real one. And at this price point, I just feel that you would want to have a peace of mind. Money can always be made but if you end up getting a fake, thats a good 5 to 10 grand gone for good! You certainly would not want to risk that!!

And yes, discounts are hard to get but they do happen if you are lucky though. (I got a 5% discount on my YG Cuff that I purchased in NYC 2 years back). The plain Rose Gold Love has such a classic look and since it is already within your budget, you know for sure you will be getting a brand new piece fresh out of the Boutique and you will enjoy it for many many years with a peace of mind. If you still want the White Gold with diamonds, you can always get it later as it will be around and in my opinion, you should get the current version with 4 diamonds as it is newer and people will know you have spent more money on it (as there has been a ton of price increases) compared to the 6 diamond version that was discontinued many years back that was still relatively cheap :)

Plus I will be sure it's original. I will go for a new RG😍 (hope it doesn't fade that quick,I so much love pink gold!)
