After years of collecting black, brown and tan bags, its time to add some red! I need your help! Im currently looking at the small Mulberry Lily and the YSL Medium Monogram Shoulder Bag. The price difference is huge but is Mulberry better quality? I have a YSL WOC in beige and love the sturdy leather. Some pics! IMG_1473985662.928559.jpgIMG_1473985678.288652.jpg

I love that both can be doubled on the shoulder for two ways of wearing them. Open to any others too!

The lily pictured appears to be "small classic grain" leather.
Is rolled flat, then printed grain applied type. With protective coating.

Many of this line had a fake suede/microfiber lining. Not real suede.
Some smelled weird. Some didn't smell @ all, not even leathery.

I do not know color called, "scarlet." It looks fiery spritz-ish, unsure?

I have alice tote in this leather.
Is a sloch-puddle(because is large bag).
Hard to scratch/damage. But once done, the mark stays.
Also grain looks fake--too uniform.
As wears, grain pattern smooths out to flat. Especially around hardware, where rubs.
Then looks better, imo.

I have regular lily in natural vegetable tanned leather(nvt).
Marks rub out with collonil gel. Grain stays same, as is natural. All bags unique.
She has a more casual feel, imo. Not so slouchy, but not stiff.
Great scent.

Good luck deciding.
The other bag choices have different vibe, imo.
More formal. More evening.
Hope helps.

Omg this helps. Ive had doubts about the lily and this confirms. Too bad!

I have not used it long enough to see whether it becomes slouchy or not (I just became a fan of the Lily only recently). But I think it might, because the leather is not super structured/stiff type. Mine is the medium size. I have another in the deep embossed leather, also medium size. That one don't seem like it would slouch as much.

Does your lily get slouchy? Also what size do you have? Ty!
