Hi Guys!
So I just picked up a puppy from the animal control shelter yesterday-her name is Gracie, she's a little black and white terrier mix, and she's 4 months old. She's adorable-really calm, sweet and loves to nuzzle her face in your neck, haha. Anyways, I know that it takes a few days for puppies to adjust, but I really need some advice. Yesterday afternoon she started this weird coughing noise-at first I thought maybe it's Kennel Cough, but isn't that a dry cough? She does it for a few minutes, then spits up clear mucus. She hasn't eaten once (seriously, I tried Nutro, Purina Puppy Chow, Wet Food, and even a tad bit of meat to see if she'd be interested, but nope). Everyone keeps saying "oh, it'll take a few days for her to adjust, just give her some time", but what concerns me is that she's already pretty thin (like I can feel her bones wayyyy too easily). I plan on taking her to the vet tomorrow (no ones open today ) but I'm just really worried. She'll drink a little water every so often-but she's literally only pottied once since I got her home yesterday afternoon. She just got spayed 3 days ago, and then they also force fed her a flea pill before we left, so I thought maybeee it could be cause by that, but I'd think it'd be out of her system by now.
Any ideas of what's going on? TIA ladies!
