New Prairie (the larger one with the chain)

I was in my FP boutique today - has anyone seen and/or bought the new Prairie satchel with the chain (style 34362)? I got a black one today because I think I'll like it but I want to be sure before I make my decision. I like that the sides snap down and make it a more domed shape. I wouldn't keep that chain on there, but I love the little outside pocket. The straps fit over my shoulder, but it's tight (and there's a long strap too). I actually went in to get a swagger, but I thought it might be more structured than I wanted and it seemed really big on me - I wish they still had the 27 size.

Just wondered what everyone's thoughts were on the Prairie. I haven't bought a Coach bag in forever (other than a soft borough to use as my work bag).

Update - I think I'll take this bag back and wait to see the nomad hobo when my store gets those (end of the month). This one is soooo gorgeous though, if anyone is looking at it.

I think both of the handbags are very nice looking. I cannot wait to see the Nomad Hobo in person. What color are you thinking of?

I think you made a good decision... I wanted one until I saw the chain prairie in the beige/ nude color at Macy's and it already had paint /rub off marks on leather.

Yikes - that's good to know. I returned it today and am waiting to see the new hobo and satchels - my FP store said they'd have them the end of the month. Can't wait!

Your fp stores should have received the NoMad hobo - only the flagship stores are getting butterscotch but all the other stores are getting racing green, stone and navy. The navy is a blackish navy - even next to the black you can barely make out the blue. Of the colors out just now, the green just stood out.

Gorgeous! They haven't called to tell me they're in but I'll call them! Thanks for the heads up. I think I'd like the navy best. I have zero green in my wardrobe and don't want a light color like stone. I also want to see the Ace satchel.

I noticed a SA messing about with a green one like that yesterday, not sure if someone had ordered it in or they were prepping it for display LOVELY color big bag though lol

It's not that big really and it's quite structured (but not too much) for a hobo. Overall a very nice bag that should work for a lot of people. I'm also attaching pics of the stone and butterscotch.

How pretty! yes it is big, from my perspective it is. I am far to petite for most bags, a real struggle with today's micro to large bag range.

I am not very tall and have some baggage to begin with, so have always felt small bags look downright silly on me. Given that most of my bags are this size, it looks normal for me 😄. I know for some it maybe a downsize too! The strap is comfortable on the shoulder, can be carried cross body without looking stupid, holds shape and doesn't flop over if you set it down and a hobo. So I didn't think it was big, but I'm so used to this size!

It's definitely all about perspective, i know loads carry what i call super bags that a dog could fit into lol something i cannot simply do. It;s hard with bags out there right now so extreme in sizing.. again though looks like a great bag for those who carry this sizing.
