Not sure if you were looking for confirmation from someone other than me, but yes, orders can be placed outside of podium, those are "special" orders. Orders done at podium are not "special", just requests. They can be accepted or not, depends on if what you want is available at that time. That's why there's a pretty good percentage of podium orders not going through. "Special" orders are reserved only for the store's VIPs because each store has a certain quota for these. Most of the time, unless you have a good, longstanding relationship with your SA, you won't be offered one, as it's much harder to get one of these than a podium order. "Special" orders are done at any time of the year, and you can ask for absolutely anything you want if you are allowed one. However, the waiting time tends to be much longer for these.

HarleyNema, I hope so. I spoke to an SA over the phone but I went into the store to see the Asst Mgr -- just to make sure (LOL) and to say thanks. She said it will likely come toward the end of the year.

I thought the same as you, then my SA very nonchalantly mentioned SOs when I said that I really wanted a bag that didn't go thru at podium. I told her I was confused, so she explained the difference to me. Now it makes total sense;) , doesn't it?
