New mini received, strap question?

Hello everyone! I just received a beautiful new mini patent bag , from BG. I have never owned a Chanel other than a reissue so not sure if this is normal--- but the straps are "cut off"? Is this normal? It is on both sides and visible just above the two holes. Hope this makes sense and thanks for any insight!

Yes, this is normal. I just bought a blue mini and started a thread with the same question. Everybody said it's normal. Congrats on your new bag!

Thank you for the fast responses! So the cut-off points are visible right above the two grommet holes as well? Are all minis like this, visible in the same spot?

no, they can appear at different points along the chain, depending on where the stitching/leather ends, closer to the grommet is actually better and mostly they should be around that area, so don't worry
